Across the globe, it stands as the backbone of economic development, with entrepreneurs playing a crucial role in job creation, unemployment reduction, and overall economic progress (Nziku & Henry, 2021; Utami, Dhewanto, & Lestari, 2023). Millions of women initiate or manage new businesses globally, contributing to economic development and societal well-being (Ojong, Simba, & Dana, 2021).
Rural women entrepreneurship in particular plays a pivotal role in poverty eradication and inclusive development, yet many women in developing nations, including Tanzania, grapple with challenges hindering their enterprise success. This study delves into these challenges and explores resilience strategies for positive transformations.
Key finding: From educational backgrounds to household dynamics, marital status, and an array of resilience strategies, each element intricately contributes to the business performance of women entrepreneurs. With further analysis, it becomes evident that a nuanced and tailored approach is imperative in designing policies that empower women economically worldwide.
