At its core, the word holistic means interconnected. It’s the idea of looking at, dealing with, and approaching things as a whole rather than separate individual parts. Clean living is a holistic way of life. It’s not just about your beauty products, the makeup you wear and what hair products you use on wash day. It’s also about your diet, what you’re eating and what you’re feeding your mind. It’s how you’re taking care of your body, your exercise and fitness routines.
Everything is connected.

With summer right around the corner, most of us are thinking about things like our #summerbody and how to glow up during these next couple months. And while we’ll be right there with you, giving you all the tips and tricks on how to make this your cleanest summer yet, it’s important to remember to take a holistic approach -- meaning paying attention to all the parts of your lifestyle -- to this season. Especially with all the uncertainty that still surrounds us.
So in between your workouts, social distancing BBQ’s, and quarantine self-care days, here are three things we want you to remember this summer and beyond:
1. Body goals are more than getting tight and toned. We get it, getting our #summerbodies ready for sundress season is important. But as you’re working out, think about how your physical fitness connects to the rest of your mind, body, and soul. Incorporate exercises that are physically demanding as well as emotionally soothing. Try new methods with your extra time in the house and find a routine that fuels you both inside and out.
2. The real glow begins from within. We mean that literally. What you eat not only has an affect on your skin, but with your skin being the largest organ on your body, it absorbs anything you put on it. That’s why eating whole foods and using clean beauty and personal care products is so important for your health and wellbeing. Add a clean eating challenge to your summer goals and spend the next couple of months cleaning up your makeup and skin care for a glow that will last well beyond the season.
3. We are all connected. Remember, regardless of what social distancing measures are in place this summer, you don’t have to make it through this season -- whether it’s summer or your clean journey -- alone. Download the apps, join the communities, and follow our clean conversations for support and empowerment. We got you and we got each other!
