Tomorrow is June’s first birthday and I’m in tears just typing those words.

It’s insane how quickly time has passed by and I will be writing a more in depth post about this later. But on a separate (less mushy) note, I wanted to also share my true take aways from the past year. A lot of you guys always ask about our gear, toys and tools that we use along the way with June.

As I reflect on the past year of her life, there were a few key pieces that we used SO MUCH.

1. Cheapy Black Out Shades

We took these everywhere! Even after we had black out shades and drapes professionally installed in her room, June still has these cheapy temporary blinds to cover the tiny cracks of light. I cannot recommend these enough.

2. The Wonder Weeks

Hopefully, most parent’s already know about this incredible app. It basically tells you all about growth spurts and calculates when you can expect to see changes happening in your babies life. It was a life saver and always spot on with what June was going through.

3. Our favorite monitor

A few month’s into June’s life we scored the Nanit and have never looked back. We love having eyes on June no matter where we are and have used this handy device on all of our travels too.

4. Best “on the go” Stroller

The Doona stroller is honestly heaven-sent. We leaned on this incredible all in one stroller/car seat so heavily on all of the trips we took with June this year. I would very strongly recommend adding it to your registry or investing in one during that first year.

5. Taking Cara Babies

Cara is an amazing resource for parent’s who are navigating the hurdle’s to get their baby to sleep. We followed her program very closely and it worked like magic for us.

6. Perfect Packing Cubes

We use these every single day to pack up bottles, food, toys, diaper kits…I can easily toss them into my tote back and they have handles on them to carry. Best purchase ever!

7. Lovevery Toys

June loves Lovevery toys. They are right in tune with what she is interested in and I love the science that goes into developing these stage based learning toys.

8. Our favorite Stroller

Aside from our travel stroller, we use the Yoyo+ every single day. It was perfect for those early days where June would sleep in her bassinet and now we use it as a pop up stroller in the back of the car for restaurants, walks around town and pretty much anything we do. It’s super light, versatile and easy to travel with.

9. In Between Baths

I love, love this Mustella freshen up spray and I use it on June all of the time. It’s great to give her a little wipe down before bed or after a meal. Plus, it smells heavenly.

10. Our Favorite Clothes

This isn’t just because I’m the Creative Director for the brand {which I chose for a reason} but we live and breathe in the 100% organic cotton clothing brand, 1212. These elevated baby basics have carried June through her first year of life and I absolutely love how soft and versatile the pieces are.
