The list of bands and celebrities that support Senator Bernie Sanders in his 2020 bid for president is something of a dream lineup — it reads much like Coachella's most sought-after headliners. And, actually, there's a lot of crossover.

Sanders counts quite a few celebrities — particularly musicians— among his voter base, many of them standing beside him since his 2016 run. But, it’s not just celebrities voting for the Vermont senator. According to current Iowa polls, Sanders is the leading Democratic candidate ahead of the 2020 Democratic caucus, with former vice president Joe Biden trailing closely behind. Although the percentage points between the top four Democratic candidates show a tight and unpredictable race, It seems that Sanders' particular brand is, well, a crowdpleaser, especially for celebrities. On Wednesday, The Strokes announced that they would play a during Sanders' New Hampshire rally on February 10. This comes shortly after Sanders released a lineup for his Iowa caucus rally featuring the likes of other hugely-popular rock stars. Not to mention, Sanders is the subject of countless celeb instagram posts, tweets, and mentions.

As a consistent frontrunner since he announcing his presidential bid in March 2019, Bernie Sanders seems to be getting the right kind of attention. His campaign platforms of addressing wealth inequality, climate change, and affordable healthcare are imploring talented artists with huge platforms to endorse his 2020 run. Now that Sanders is literally putting on shows with musicians that are feeling the Bern, we've rounded up some of his favorite celebrity endorsements for 2020.

The Strokes
The Bernie Sanders campaign just announced it will be hosting a Get Out the Vote Concert Rally on February 10 at Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, NH and The Strokes will be playing. Like previous rallies hosted by Sanders, it is free and open to the public with a special VIP section for volunteers who have knocked on 250 or more doors in New Hampshire.

"We are honored to be associated with such a dedicated, diligent, & trustworthy patriot — and fellow native New Yorker!” said Julian Casablancas, lead singer for The Strokes. “As the only truly non-corporate candidate, Bernie Sanders represents our only chance to overthrow corporate power and help return America to democracy. This is why we support him.”Photo: David Becker/WireImage.
Cardi B
Cardi B is vocal about what she cares about, and it just so happens that a lot of things she cares about are things that Bernie Sanders also cares about. The artist is becoming quite the political powerhouse herself. She’s been a supporter since the 2016 election. "Imma always be with Bernie," she said in a red carpet interview. "Bernie don't say things to be cool. There's pictures of him being an activist from a very, very, very long time." The two actually sat down to discuss the future of student debt, income inequality, and climate change for a video released for Sanders’ campaign in July 2019. Photo: Julien Hekimian/Getty Images.
Vampire Weekend
Another band that has been feeling the Bern since the 2016 campaign is Vampire Weekend. Vampire Weekend has performed in support of Sanders multiple times over the years. The popular indie group performed at Sanders’ rallies in Iowa and New York for his 2016 campaign and are joining the senator again for this run playing an acoustic set on February 1 at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, IA.Photo: Emma McIntyre/Getty Images.
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande is newer to the Bernie Sanders camp. In 2016, she was a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton, but now she is all about giving a boost to Sanders’ platform. The presidential hopeful attended Grande’s Atlanta concert last November ahead of a democratic debate taking place the following night. Grande shared a few backstage photos on Twitter referring to Sanders as “my guy” expressing gratitude for what the senator stands for.

On her Sweetener World Tour, Grande partnered with Headcount, a nonprofit organization that helps with the voter registration initiative called “#thankunextgen” that stages voter registration drives at concerts. According to Grande’s tweet with Sanders, 20,000 new voters registered during her tour.Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic.
Bon Iver
Bon Iver are among the many artists who have supported Bernie Sanders at his rallies. The indie-folk band are set to play at Sanders’ caucus rally on January 31 at Horizon Events Center in Clive, IA.

In case their thoughts on the senator weren’t clear from playing at his rally, frontman Justin Vernon released a statement elaborating on why he is choosing to vote for Sanders. “I believe, unequivocally, that all people deserve support, love, and the freedom to choose how to live their own lives,” said Vernon. “There are promises in our constitutional language that are being superseded by money and greed in this country; I believe that Senator Sanders is the only one that has the pedigree, the experience, the courage, and the undying spirit to begin to put these obstacles of freedom to rest.”Photo: John Shearer/Getty Images.

Tyler, The Creator

Tyler, the Creator hasn’t publicly declared his endorsement of Bernie Sanders, but he was clearly feeling the Bern at least a little bit in 2016 when he was seen wearing a shirt with Sanders’ face on it. Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic.
Lizzo
Lizzo might be a fan of Bernie Sanders, but it seems like Sanders is just as much a fan of hers. In August 2019, the singer tweeted asking her followers to think critically about who they choose to vote for. Additionally, she called out a popular – and ageist – argument used against Sanders claiming that he is too old to run for president. It seems like Sanders wanted to show his appreciation for the shoutout. In November 2019, Sanders made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and he and Fallon made slow jams out of the news. With a full backing band, Sanders announced he was “Feeling good as hell.”Photo: Steve Granitz/WireImage.

Brandi Carlile

Shortly after announcing his bid for the 2020 presidency, Bernie Sanders hosted a rally in his home state of Vermont in May. Multi-Grammy winner Brandi Carlile took to the stage to perform and endorse Sanders' candidacy. “We chose today to come out here and support Bernie because we believe he is a good man and a true altruist and a person that’s started a revolution," Carlile told the crowd. "I think that in his life Bernie’s done a great thing which is de-stigmatize a concept of fairness in this country.”Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic.
