Remembering Basketball Superstar Kobe Bryant
We are shocked and saddened today to hear the news that one of the world’s greatest athletes Kobe Bryant has passed.
According to CNBC, the 41-year-old retired NBA superstar, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, were killed in a helicopter crash earlier this morning in Calabasas, Los Angeles.
The legendary shooting guard started his career in the NBA right out of high school in 1996. By his second season, he had already earned his first of 18 all-star selections.
Over the years, Bryant would continue to be recognized for his incredible athletic abilities. After his twenty-year run with the Los Angeles Lakers, he retired as the NBA’s third all-time leading scorer with five NBA championships under his belt.
Bryant wasn’t only a shining star on the court. His beaming charisma and smarts were on full display in his production and media projects, and he showed great passion in his philanthropic pursuits.
Tributes to Bryant continue to pour in on Twitter, as fellow athletes, friends and fans mourn the loss of a great man, basketball player, father and friend.
