1. Showing Love
The best way to get your morning off to a good start is to spread the good vibes immediately. If you're in bed with your wife or girlfriend, make sure to embrace and kiss her. When you get up, see that your dog gets some much-deserved petting. Do you have kids? Don't leave them out! Give each and every one of them a hug and a kiss on the head. The reason for this is reciprocity. By kicking everyone's day off with affection, you're opening the door for them to return the favor. Before you know it, your house will become a nexus of positive morning energy!

2. Drink Your Go-To Drink
When I wake up every single morning, I brew myself a cup of coffee to relax with. I'll even make a cup for my wife, and we'll just sit together and sip away. This kind of quality time seems simple, but when you're a busy man, you know that every second counts. You need to carve out minutes in the day where you can, and this is an excellent chance to cherish those you love. Not a coffee drinker? Well, there's always tea!

3. Read A Journal
Or a magazine, or a novel. Better yet? Listen to some audiobooks. I actually prefer audiobooks to traditional reading because I can listen while doing ANYTHING. Whether it be having coffee, hitting the gym, or going for a run, audiobooks are much more versatile and far less time-consuming.
4. Get The Heart Racing
Want to have a powerful start to the day? Hit the gym. Exercise produces endorphins which not only act as natural painkillers, but they make you happier as well.
Exercise will set you up with the energy and optimism you need to tackle your day.
If you're not too hot on the gym idea yet, then simply going for a run is enough to get the blood pumping. Even the simplest of tasks like push-ups should do the trick.
5. Serve EVERYONE
With this perfect morning routine tip, we're sort of touching upon something earlier in the article. What is it? Spreading the love. If you're making coffee, serve it to your wife or your older kids. Why not take it up a notch and cook breakfast for everyone in the family? That way you can spend some more of that quality time with every important person in your household.
6. Get Outside
Especially if the weather sucks! Believe it or not, that unpleasantness will wake you up, even if it doesn't seem great at first. Putting yourself through a little bit of hardship actually braces you for the day ahead.
There's nothing quite like a rainstorm to toughen a guy up in the morning.
If the weather is in fact pleasant, you're not excused! Walk your dog! Heck, just go for a walk around your neighborhood or do a quick chore outside.
7. Prepare For The Day Ahead
You know me – I stress readiness. It's a principle I carried from the Marines into my daily life. We're not talking a really in-depth strategy, we're talking a day-to-day triage. Think about your plans for that day and jot down a quick to-do list. This can even be done while you're having your coffee (By yourself, not with your wife). It's a basic way to plan, but every little bit helps!
