John Cena Says He Has No Dating Game

John Cena is a man, a meme and a multiple-time WWE World Champion. While his confidence, charisma and the sense that at any moment he could lay some serious smack down on anyone who crosses him, might make him appear to have a lot of game when it comes to dating, the wrestling champ says, it’s not true.

In a recent interview on ET, Cena seemed to show a more sensitive side. Interviewed alongside Keegan-Michael Key at New York City press day in support of their new silver screen effort, “Playing With Fire,” Cena made it clear that he doesn't consider himself to be much of a ladies man.

Asked by ET reporter Nischelle Turner as to whether or not he has game, the “Doctor of Thuganomics” said “No. If I have a connection with someone, I believe we're defined by our actions, and how you treat them is a reflection on how you will treat them in the future.”

Not satisfied by John Cena's straight-up response to Turner's question, Key threw in an amusing aside. “That's game,” Key joked. “Especially if it's real!”

While Cena is famous for his one-liner of “you can't see me,” fans could certainly see where he was coming from in terms of his romantic philosophy.

“I think when anyone has a connection with someone, and someone says like, 'Hey, there's something here, and by the way, I appreciate who you are, I appreciate who you want to be, I appreciate how you live your life,' I don't think that's gender-specific ... I think that's something we all want to hear,” said Cena.

It turns out, good guy Cena might be more than just a meme, after all.

Although Cena might be one of the hottest bachelors in Hollywood ever since his high-profile breakup from Nikki Bella in April of last year, the pro wrestler and actor has recently been spotted in the company of Shay Shariatzadeh, his girlfriend of seven months.

Protest all you want, John Cena, but we all know the truth. A genuine stand-up guy has an elevated level of game, one that you can’t learn from pick-up artists or courtship con-men. We see you, Cena.
