A scarf is a timeless accessory that can be worn season after season and year after year, so I’m always keeping my eye out for new ones. The latest additions to my ever-growing collection are our two fall Gal Meets Glam Collection scarves, the Carlene Scarf and the Ashlynn Scarf. I especially love wearing them in my hair and have been experimenting with fun new ways to do so. Our team is modeling six of my favorite ways below, to give you some creative inspiration. Each look takes just a few minutes to style, but instantly adds a more elegant feel to any outfit.

TIED PONYTAIL: Pull your hair back into a regular ponytail (I think a low one looks best) and secure it with a thin hairband–I always recommend using one that is transparent or matches your hair color. Roll your scarf up the same way for headband styles (below) and tie it around your ponytail.
VINTAGE MOVIE STAR WRAP: Simply lay the scarf flat in a diamond position and fold over once. Drape over your head with the pointed side facing backwards. Secure with a small knot under your chin.

CLASSIC HEADBAND: Lay your scarf flat in a diamond position and, starting from one corner, roll it over itself in sections that are about two finger-widths wide. Drape it over your head and tie it under your hair behind your neck (tip: put your hair in a ponytail during this step to keep hair out of the knot, and then undo the ponytail once your scarf is in place). Feel free to let the ends of the scarf peek out to the side a bit.
WRAPPED BUN: Pull your hair back into a bun (either high or low on your head works) and secure it with a thin hairband. Tie your rolled scarf around the bun once for longer tails or twice around to make it shorter (as we did here). Either tuck the ends in, letting them hang out, or tie them into a bow.

KNOTTED HEADBAND: Follow the same steps as the classic headband, but instead of tying the scarf under your hair, flip it around and tie it in a knot on the top of your head. Tuck the ends of the scarf under the knot.
WOVEN BRAID: This style looks more complicated than it actually is! Pull your hair back into a low ponytail and secure it with a thin hairband. Tie a rolled scarf around the ponytail. Use it as one of the three “sections” of your braid and braid your ponytail all the way down. Secure in a knot a the bottom.
